Montpellier Villas Garden

This fascinating project is all about changing levels. The garden slopes in 2 directions making the build very tricky. Our aim is to simplify the space to create order while also adding an element of movement to the garden by using paths that allow the client to circulate to all areas of the garden.

One of the main focal points of the garden will be a elongate formal reflective pond, which will be planted with Iris sibirica and waterlilies. A row of large pleached limes, Tilia americana will screen the neighbouring windows that overlook the back garden.

Pleached trees: We've gone for Ulmus americana (Elm) which is of course very suitable for a Brighton Garden. They keep a fair amount of leaf in the winter months. A bit like a beech hedge.

I caught a glimpse of this garden as I walked past. The pleached trees you have used look amazing. Can I ask what species you have used? Are they likely to keep much leaf in the winter months?
