Clever Concrete

Concrete is not always people’s first choice of materials in the garden, but I see it a a hard wearing and beautiful medium to work with.

The Chelsea garden features a polished concrete seating area. We felt it made a minimalist alternative to paving or timber flooring. We have specified that the concrete is mixed with recycled materials and therefore makes this surface carbon neutral.

For domestic extensions, concrete will flow throughout the building giving a seamless continuation of inside-outside spaces. Through pigmentation, careful selection of aggregates and cement types. Our work was carried our by Polished Concrete Designs Ltd.
