Chelsea 2010: Plants

Once again, as in 2009 the growing of plants for the Chelsea Flower Show is causing me a lot of stress, and anxiety.

Every other element of the garden can be carefully considered, checked and verified prior to the show, but with plants you are at the mercy of the great British weather.

We have had the coldest start to the year in decades and already horticulturists are already speculating it will be a green chelsea. Not bad thing two years ago when “green” was in-vogue. Not so good for me where I intend to combine and contrast several vibrant colours.

Let’s see how they look in 3 weeks and if required perhaps my planting needs a radical redesign.
