Nicholas Dexter Gardens (NDG) is an award-winning landscape and garden design studio with a passion for natural & modern design.
We design gardens of all sizes from difficult urban spaces such as rooftops, courtyards to rural country landscape designs. Naturally we also cater for family sized gardens and specialise in creating gardens that are relaxed and easy to maintain.
Much of our planting design is based on observation of natural situations we see on our travels. The maxim “right plant, right place” in a constant theme in all of our planting design.

Nicholas Dexter studied geology at Manchester University in 1994-1997 before re-training as a landscape designer in 2000.
In 2001 NDG was established and we gradually developed our own style of creating gardens. We find inspiration from all sources, however the geology of the land remains a constant reference to our design style. Our work is very natural and often quite modern.
Nicholas became a registered member of the Society of Garden Designers in 2005, the professional body of the industry.

Service
Garden and Landscape Design
Following an initial meeting we will survey the garden and begin the design process. We try to look at many different options to ensure that the new garden layout is well structured, simple and relates to the house and surrounding landscape.
Once the design is agreed we then provide detailed drawings and planting plans in order to get a price from a recommended landscape contractor.
Planting
We provide planting design and supply service. We specify new plants for your garden borders and order new plants at the best rates (typically 25% cheaper than garden centre rates). We can also plant the new garden if you require and supply new lighting and furniture.
Furniture
NDG have selected a range of garden furniture which you can buy.
CAD / 3D Design
We provided photo-realistic 3D design and animation for any interior or exterior projects. Ideal for council planning submissions.
